I camp with the folks who keep the beverages flowing at the Cafe. If you are up early in the morning MWF stop by and say "hi". Please bring a reusable cup to the playa and especially to the Cafe. Our camp started in 2006 as unnamed, impromptu, cluster of five friends all bringing what they needed individually to experience what we all thought Burningman would be. Last year we added and additional friend and morphed into the Fucking Flamingo Camp by virtue of some pornographically posed plastic flamingos and one bull horn…..the name just stuck. Most of my camp mates are from the bay area. We are welders, bellydancers, musicians, DJs. We are doing a burner singles tipsy, a hafla, and having a bluegrass jam, and many might be involved in the Burning Bellies event on the playa. This is first time I have camped with this group of people I am very excited as I have always wanted to camp with new people that I don't consider my "safety net".
